Wind Power

It's been topical here in Chautauqua, where I haven't heard much lately about the one local proposal, but "wind farms" are growing in popularity in some of the other rural areas of New York. Today's Albany Times-Union has a front page story on the topic.

I haven't make up my mind about wind yet. Its benefits are obvious, the turbines make power without pollution or hazardous waste...that of course is good. But they are huge, they are out of place in the landscape, and they have been bird killers. I guess the folks at Audobon have a compromise position that works for me. http://www.audubon.org/chapter/ny/ny/wind_power.htm

I'm frankly surprised you aren't running around hauling them down if they endanger the birdies.
