A long strange trip
It's been fun, but it's coming to an end. By the end of the month, I'll be closing up shop here at the Jamestown Lawyer. Thanks for all the feedback and commentary over the past however-long-it's-been, but time commitments don't let me follow through as I'd like. Rather than doing a bad job, I'd rather just haul in the sails and make room for new bloggers.

Boo to that...why terminate a professional and highly acclaimed blog (Chautauqua Regional WORD) to make room for more of that garbage that exists in the blogosphere?
I'd suggest giving your colleagues an opportunity to take this over. Perhaps for 3 or 4 Jamestown Lawyers working together on blog, it wouldn't be such a chore.
This would preserve your work and have other voices add on to it. Who knows? You might even want to come back sometime to chime in.
Nevertheless, best wishes for your future endeavors. You certainly provided a valuable service and interesting views in this unique little area of WNY.
Sorry to hear about the end of the blog...I must say though compared to some other blogs which will remain nameless...you did a better than most job at putting new items on this blog.
Two words for yah.
Don't doit.
C'mon! One more year of competition!
Unless...you crazy lawyer...you have a new blog idea in mind?
Mak
Aw come on! We need respectable bloggers out here in the blogosphere!
Geezus, if you quit then local readers just have me, Galoot, Ineffa, Mr. Social, Preppy Girl, and Makkaio as regular posters and lord knows we're all nuts.
Makkaio's comment did get me wondering though... is there a new/old blog in the works? Hmmmmm?
Thanks for all of the comments. Part of me would really like to keep the blog going, but for some time I've felt it sort of drifting without a mission. Perhaps some of the suggestions will give it some new life, but for a little while I need to concentrate on some other projects.
Thanks again for the support.
How disappointing! I'd only just stumbled on this blog a few weeks ago and was starting to make it part of my browse. Even though I live in Jtown, I particularly enjoyed the NNY references as I lived there for 13 years, moving here in '94 for the balmy weather.
Why not simply take a blog vacation and come back in a month, refreshed and ready to reflect again? And, if you feel like you are blogging in a vacuum, simply admonish all readers to comment or you will quit for real next time.
