Former CoA Judge Wachtler Speaks in WNY
Judge Sol Wachtler, formerly NY's top judge, is mainly known for being arrested, disbarred and spending a stint in federal lockup. The Buffalo News covered his upcoming talk and interviewed him regarding his ongoing advocacy for person, like him, who have mental illness and are involved in the criminal justice system.

Kudos to Wachtler for coming forward and speaking on this important topic. It probably would have been easier for him to just quietly hide away, but instead he is an advocate for the mentally ill who comprise a significant percentage of those involved in the criminal justice system.
